God
We Teach there is only One True and Living God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:6-8, Jude 1:25, 1 Timothy 2:5, 1 Corinthians 8:6), an Eternal (Isaiah 40:28, 1 Timothy 1:17, 2 Peter 3:8), All-knowing (1 John 3:20, Matthew 10:29-30, Isaiah 46:9-10), All-powerful (Genesis 1:3, Psalm 33:6, Daniel 2:21), All-present (Proverbs 15:3, Psalm 139:7-10), One in Being (John 1:1, Colossians 1:16-17, John 10:30), eternally existing in three Persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
God the Father
We teach that God the Father, is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1-31, Romans 1:20), ordains all things according for His purpose (1 Corinthians 8:6) and is the Authority and Ruler over creation (1 Chronicles 29:11, Romans 11:36, Jude 25) He rules Sovereignly (Psalm 115:3, Isaiah 46:9-10), Providentially (Romans 8:28, Proverbs 16:33, Matthew 10:29) and Redemptively (1 Corinthians 1:30, Romans 3:24-26). God although being Sovereign is not the author nor approver of sin (Habakkuk 1:13) God the Father ordains those whom He has chosen to be His Own (Ephesians 1:4-6) saving all that would come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ (John 6:44). To those whom He elects, they become adopted and God becomes Father to Them (John 1:12, Ephesians 1:3-6). God is Father in two ways. First, He is Father within the Trinity, (John 14:28). Second, He is Father to all those who have received Jesus Christ by faith (1 Peter 1:3, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
God the Son
We teach that Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity, is Coequal, Coeternal, Consubstantial as God the Father (John 10:30, 14:9). We teach that Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son, without any change to His Divine, Holy and Perfect Nature, humbled Himself taking on the form of a man (Philippians 2:5-8), and was tempted in all manners just like all humans, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15).
We teach that Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of God’s chosen vessel, a woman, the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:35). Jesus Christ then preserved His Divine Nature on earth while being fully Man. Thus Jesus Christ was both fully God and fully Man while on earth, and is the Only Mediator between God and Man (1 Timothy 2:5)
We teach that Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity came into this world to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15) His mission was redeeming His Elect through the shedding of His blood and sacrificial death on a cross that was substitutionary, conciliatory, and voluntary through obedient to the Father’s will. (Romans 3:24-25, Galatians 3:13-14)
We teach that Jesus Christ’s sacrifice was efficacious to our sin problem. By His blood we have forgiveness of our sin (Ephesians 1:7) and thus forgiveness from the wrath of God (Romans 1:18, John 3:36). This justification on behalf of God through the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ could only be realized through the literal, physical resurrection from the dead (1 Peter 1:13, 1 Corinthians 6:14, Acts 3:15) and the ascension of Jesus Christ, who sitting at the right of God in heaven, where He is now our Advocate and Mediator to the Father (Romans 8:34, Hebrews 10:12, 1 John 2:1).
We Teach that God the Father will judge the Living and the Dead through His Son Jesus Christ. There will be two judgements. One is for believers known as the Bema seat of Christ (1 Corinthians 3:10-15, 2 Corinthians 5:10). The last the judgement is known as the Great White Throne Judgement where only unbelievers will stand and give an account of their works. (Revelation 20:11-15)
God the Holy Spirit
We Teach that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity. He is Eternal, Co-equal, possessing all attributes of the Father and Son. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
We Teach that the work of the Holy Spirit is to fulfill the will of God the Father as seen in creation (Genesis 1:2), the incarnation (Luke 1:35), all stages of Salvation from foreknowledge through glorification (Romans 8:29-30) and the authorship and preservation of Divine Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
We teach the outpouring of the Holy Spirit happened on the Day of Pentecost which was the birth of Christ’s church. (Acts 2). He was promised by the Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:-16-17) and was sent from God the Father (John 15:26) to baptize and establish the church (1st Corinthians 12:13) and to sovereignly impart those who have been redeemed into Christ’s church, with Spiritual gifts. (Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11). Every believer possesses the Holy Spirit from salvation (Romans 8:9) and it is the believers responsibility to then be fully possessed by the Holy Spirit through obedience (Ephesians 5:18)
The Bible
We teach the Bible is God’s written revelation to man and that all 39 Old Testament Books and all 27 New Testament books are equally inspired (1 Corinthians 2:7-14). We teach the whole Bible, in its original writings, is objective, God breathed, infallible, and inerrant (2 Timothy 3:16) and has been preserved by God’s will throughout the centuries. This means we can know what was originally written without the possession of the original documents. We teach the Historical Creation account found in the Bible (Genesis 1-2) to be literal times and events. We teach that there is only one literal interpretation as meant by the Holy Spirit. We teach in the dual authorship of Scripture. The Holy Spirit fully wrote the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16) and the human authors also fully wrote the Scripture as the Spirit gave revelation. (2 Peter 1:20-21) We teach the Bible cannot be added to and the Bible cannot be taken away (Revelation 22:18-19). Any deviation from what God has said is sin and heretical in nature. The Christian is to adhere to all the Bible says and commands for it is the rule for living (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 4:4, Isaiah 40:8, Proverbs 30:5)
Mankind
We teach that mankind was created in the Image and the Likeness of God. Mankind was created perfect, free of sin, with freedom of will, intelligence, obligations to labor and moral responsibility to God. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7,15-25). All of creation was given to mankind to tend, populate and use for our pleasure. (Genesis 1:28-31) The Man came first in the order of Creation (Genesis 2:15) and God saw that it was not good to be alone and created one other sex, female, out of man. (Genesis 2:22) We teach mankind was created to bring glory to God, our Creator (Isaiah 43:7, Jude 24-25, Revelation 4:11).
We teach that although mankind was created to glorify God perfectly, that was broken when Sin entered all creation. We teach that Adam and Eve willfully disobeyed God’s word resulting in sin (Genesis 3:6-7), which in turn, severed relationship between mankind and God (Isaiah 59:2) , brought about spiritual and physical death to mankind, caused the desires of mankind to be evil and wicked (Jeremiah 17:9) , and mankind is now subject to the wrath of God (Romans 1:18). We teach that because of mankind’s natural sin nature (Psalm 51:5), mankind is spiritually dead and must be regenerated only by God’s gracious Calling (Romans 3:10-18, Matthew 23:9, Ephesians 2:1, Colossians 2:13)
Salvation
We teach that salvation is by grace, through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). There is no other means by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Our salvation consists of three components: Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification. Justification is fully the act of God who justifies us in the blood of Jesus (Romans 3:23-24) It is the component of our salvation in which our sins have been placed on Christ, and his righteousness has been placed on us (2 Corinthians 5:21). Sanctification is both the act of God and man. We are sanctified by the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies us into obedience to Christ (1 Peter 1:2). We are also accountable for our obedience to Christ, working with the Holy Spirit, to be made Holy (1 Peter 1:14-15). Glorification is fully the act of God. All those whom God has called to Himself, he will glorify (Romans 8:29) by giving to us new and incorruptible bodies to live with Him for eternity (1 Corinthians 15:50-57). We teach that those who receive salvation are of the elect of God, chosen before the foundations of the world (Ephesians 1:4-6). God elects us to himself, regenerating us by giving us a new heart (Ezekiel 11:19-20, Titus 3:5-7), and giving us the very faith that we are saved by (Ephesians 2:8-9). Because The work of salvation is by God, we have security in our faith that all those whom God has called to Himself, Christ will lose none (John 6:35-40).
The Church
We teach that the church is composed of all of those who believe, and have placed their faith in Christ (Romans 12:4-5). The purpose of the church is to go in the name and authority of Christ to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them obedience to Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). We teach that this is done through teaching, admonishing, correcting, rebuking, encouraging, building up, singing spiritual hymns and songs all in accordance with scripture (Colossians 3:16, 2 Timothy 3:16-17) and in love (Ephesians 4:32, 2 Thessalonians 3:14-15). We teach that the church has been commanded by God to do this work without ceasing (Hebrews 10:23-25). This gathering is a physical gathering (1 Corinthians 16:20) and cannot be achieved in full without gathering. This is in part because of the sacraments which we are to partake in, namely, baptism (Matthew 28:19) and communion (Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26). We teach that leaders of the church are to be men who are above reproach and can teach the scriptures, answering all questions and objections, to the glory of God (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).
Christian Obedience
We teach that as followers of Christ, we are to be fully obedient to Christ (1 Peter 1:14-15), not as a means of salvation, but as a result of salvation and a call to walk in good works prepared for us by God (Ephesians 2:10). We teach that God has adopted us to Himself (Ephesians 1:5), and desires for us to be Holy (2 Corinthians 7:1). We are commanded to begin by first turning to God for wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) and second by receiving correction from God (Proverbs 3:11-12). We do this as the church (see above section) in order to become obedient to Christ in all areas of life.
Marriage and Family
We teach that marriage is between one man and one woman, as defined in our Mankind section (Genesis 2:24). It is within the sanctity of marriage that sexual relationships are holy before God (Hebrews 13:4). A sexual relationship in any other context is sin. We teach that marriage is meant for husbands and wives to become mothers and fathers, and to subdue the earth in obedience to God (Genesis 1:28). As in the order of creation in which man comes first and the woman second, the man is to be the leader of the home. This means he leads sacrificially, while she submits humbly (Colossians 3:18-20, Ephesians 5:22-33). We teach that children are to be obedient to their parents (Ephesians 6:1-3), and parents are to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).
