Need Bio

Brian Perales is husband to Kim, father to Madeline, Emery, and Lucian, and an elder at Journey Community Church. He works as a software engineer, and he has been an elder at Journey Community Church since 2017. At JCC, he directs the youth ministry, creates discipleship material and classes, writes for our blog, and preaches on rotation Sunday mornings. Brian’s vision for Journey is for it to become a well known icon in Southern California for glorifying God through discipleship and serving the community.

At 64 years old, I have known Christ as my Lord and Savior for about 42 years. Albeit, there have been some seasons where I strayed far away, but He never let go of me. In later life, He has blessed me with a beautiful caring wife, 4 wonderful stepchildren and 7 grandchildren. I am thankful God brought me here to Fontana and Journey Community Church where I am happy to play drums on the worship team, and also contribute as an elder. God has extended His hand to me at this church and it is my hope to continue learning, maturing and growing in the Lord as in Phillipians 2:13, "For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure."
